When founder Brandon Stewart approached SoCap, he didn’t even have a name for his company; just a sound business model and a meeting. That meeting happened to be with the U.S. Department of Defense and it was just 30 days away. SoCap partnered with Brandon to build out a brand that would be the outward expression of his vision of leading organizations into a new way of thinking about computing and maximizing the world’s vast and ever-growing digital network known as The Cloud for collaboration, problem-solving, and solutions delivery.
Understanding that vision, SoCap built Brandon’s brand, including name, logo, collateral and website, around Nereus, a Greek God of the Sea known for his wisdom, truthfulness, virtue, and his ability to understand the constantly changing and often dangerous sea. It was a natural fit for a company dedicated to helping other companies navigate the often-treacherous waters of The Cloud.
We are proud to have built a brand that was recognized by Google at an April 2019 event in San Diego -- just a few months after establishing the Nereus name -- as the Most Innovative Cloud Technology Partner. The path to that honor was paved by Nereus’ unique vision and delivery of its solutions, which SoCap highlighted through case studies, videos, and other supporting materials intended to edify users and prospective clients. SoCap worked hand-in-hand with Nereus to position the company as a leader in this new and progressive industry. The efforts have not only paid off for Nereus, but for Google Cloud, which is gaining traction as a supplier to government agencies, due in large part to the security and training solutions provided by Nereus.
Given the disruptive nature of this nascent company and industry, SoCap knew the website had to be a reflection of Nereus’ position as a leading developer of advanced technology solutions for the vast digital Cloud. The website, including the selection of the trident and corresponding constellation of stars that explorers rely upon for navigation, provides strong continuity across the entire customer journey and projects the firm’s commitment to providing its clients safe passage through the Cloud.
