Formerly sold in global retail outlets under the brand name Skin Nutrition, founder Richard Purvis saw an opportunity to take his line of skin care products online and sell directly to consumers. He partnered with SoCap to elevate the new online store and products, rebranded as Skin Moderne. SoCap employed strategies to align the products with a focus on lifestyle for the Millennial demographic, creating content to educate and inform consumers, not only about the products, but about broader skin health practices and trends.
In positioning Skin Moderne as an upscale luxury lifestyle brand, we built campaigns with the understanding that Millennial consumers are more informed that previous generations and they demand products that are toxin-free, good for the environment, and socially responsible. We used digital ads, video campaigns, and engaged with social media influencers that embodied the spirit of a socially and environmentally conscious brand that also provided consumers with effective, healthy, and responsibly sourced skin care solutions.
Formerly built on a Shopify platform, we moved the Skin Moderne website onto Wordpress with full ecommerce capabilities. By converting and elevating the graphics, we created a cleaner, more modern look that better aligned with a posh lifestyle brand. In addition to providing visitors a richer, more engaging experience, the Wordpress ecommerce site featured affiliate cart, instagram integration, and additional functionality that was not available on the previous platform.

Through digital marketing and social media strategy we aligned Skin Moderne with key influencers to repost content and drive brand awareness. The use of social media, digital ads, and SEO strategies to gain organic keyword search improvement resulted in increase first-page mentions on Google and secondary search engines. Social media followers and engagement grew by more than 450% and organic traffic to Skin Moderne’s landing page increased by more than 230%.
